The lives of celebrities are well-publicized since they are right in front of the camera. But what about the people who are working behind it? Do they get credited and known too? Yes, they do. Directors, who are the most important persons behind the camera, get credits, recognitions and the general respect of the people on their field.

But, no matter how much respect a particular individual gets for being talented and skillful as they do behind the lenses, you will feel the opposite once you know the things they did that can already be considered as criminal charges. These people have committed crimes, but unfortunately, they are still at large because they are protected by their fame, contribution and money.

10 Directors Who Should Be Behind The Bars

This article will list down the top 10 directors who need to be punished by law:

1. Rupert Sanders

When a woman catches her husband cheating, the usual act is to file a divorce. But, if truth be told, committing adultery is already punishable by the law of God and man made laws as well. Sanders, being the director of the “Snow White and The Huntsman”, had an affair with the leading actress of the movie, Kristine Stewart.

Stewart, who plays Isabella Swan of the acclaimed Twilight Saga movie franchise, was already in a relationship with Robert Pattinson at the time of the cheating scandal. Both have said their sorry’s to their respective partners, but once trust is broken, it is definitely hard to pull back and re-connect the strings together.

2. Michael Morris

Another philandering director on the list is Michael Morris who was seen kissing Katharin McPhee (who by the way is also married). They both were co-workers for the “Smash” TV series. McPhee was a regular actress of the said series, while Morris only directed a few of the show’s episodes.

3. Mel Gibson

Gibson may be both a great actor and a director, but then again, is he a good person? Perhaps not. It is not new that Gibson had an erratic behaviour which led to file a restraining order against him in an alleged domestic violence.

Oksana Grigorieva filed the order to stop Gibson from making contact with her and their child. Since we are talking about domestic violence here, it is just right that Gibson should be punished by the law. However, the charges were dropped as Gibson pleaded no dispute to misdemeanour battery charges.

4. Abel Ferrara

I included Ferrara on this list for two things: threat and defamation. He once said in a 2014 September Hollywood Reporter article that the IFC Center located in Manhattan should be burned down for betraying him. Now, isn’t it a clear sign of threat? But Ferrara was able to stay away from the issue by saying that what he said was only metaphorical.

On the other hand, he is also facing a defamation lawsuit filed by former IMF Chief, Dominque Strauss-Kahn. The lawsuit was filed due to the alleged usage of Strauss-Kahn’s sex scandal on Ferrara’s film which tarnished the reputation of the ex-chief again. However, if there is one thing that I can commend Ferrara with, is the fact that he never mentioned Strauss-Kahn’s name in his film.

5. Jason Alexander

Director Jason “Jace” Alexander who directed several episodes of “Law & Order” is facing two felony child pornography charges. The first case was a Class D felony wherein he promoted sexual performance by a child, and the second case was a Class E felony wherein he was caught in possession of an indecent sexual performance of a child.

6. Vadim Perelman

Vadim Perelman

Perelman is a Canadian/American film director who directed “House of Sand and Fog”, and “The Life Before Her Eyes” which stars Uma Thurman and Evan Rachel Wood. Perelman has been charged with sexual assault charges in 2006. But these charges would be dropped and his record will be cleaned if he stayed out of trouble for two years. Though the case was considered minor (he touched the buttocks of two women, and accidentally punch a person which was intended for some other), he should have still been taught a lesson and not just simply be put under special probation.

7. Kevin Thomas Roy

Kevin Thomas Roy is an assistant director who did not contest to invasion of privacy charges filed against him. Roy had been accused of having 400 images and 40 videos of women (actresses, models, family members, female crew members, friends and strangers) who are changing and using the bathroom. These images were caught by hidden cameras.

8. Bryan Singer

Sexual abuse is rampant in Hollywood than one could imagine. It can even be considered as a “sexual den” especially by new and aspiring stars. Most bigwigs in the industry such as Bryan Singer would use talents to satisfy their lust and need of flesh.

The complaint filed against Singer is depicted as a criminal sexual act. However, the person who filed the case with a name of Michael Egan dropped the case, and currently Egan is the one facing charges because of securities and wire frauds. There were also two other civil lawsuits against Singer but again, these were all dropped. True or not, I just hope that justice can be served where it should really be.

9. Woody Allen

Another one of the directors who should be punished by the law is “Woody Allen”. Whenever I hear the name of Woody Allen, my blood just simply boils. Who on their right mind would be in a relationship with his stepdaughter?

Allen, though a great director, is not that awesome when it comes to being a parent. He had sexual relationship with his stepdaughter, Soon-Ye Previn. The act was only exposed when Mia Farrow, Allen’s ex-wife, saw Polaroid pictures of her daughter in full frontal nudity with legs wide open.

The pictures were taken by Allen. What is more disgusting about this person is that he also sexually assaulted his biological daughter, Dylan Farrow, when the lady was just a mere seven years old. Dylan Farrow said that the director would take her up in the attic and do the act there to indulge his sexual appetites.

10. Roman Polanski

Polanski, who is a well-renowned film director, was arrested for rape of a 13 year old girl, Samantha Geimer. Instead of facing prison bars, the director ran from the country and lived lavishly outside America, and still continues doing films and gaining awards.

Though he was put under arrest in 2009 at his house in Switzerland, he was released from his house arrest in 2010. Sad to say that even if a person already committed a grave offense of rape, many people (especially Hollywood’s A-listers) still wanted him released including Jodie Foster and Woody Allen. Seriously? Just because he is a director does not mean that he can get a free ticket out of prison considering that the young girl had been raped vaginally, anally, and orally. So, really, is there a free ticket out for that?

Hope you have know the real faces of the Directors Who Should Be Behind The Bars and punished severely for their crime.
